Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I expect my order?
Most orders will ship within 3-5 days via USPS first class. You will receive an email confirming shipment with a tracking number. Please reach out prior to ordering if you need expedited shipping: amelia @ helloamelia.com
How should I care for jewelry?
I recommend protecting your jewelry by avoiding wearing it during wet, dirty, or rough activities. This includes swimming, gardening, exercising, or banging it into things. Overtime it is normal for bronze and silver to develop a patina or to tarnish. You can clean them gently with soap and water or polish them with a cleaning cloth. If you really want to take your bronze jewelry back to the brightest shine you can give it a gentle soak and finger scrub in lemon juice and salt.
How should I care for pottery?
Hand washing is recommended but they should survive your dishwasher if they accidentally make their way in there. Clay vessels generally prefer not to go from really cold to super hot and vice versa. To avoid thermal shock don’t put a baking dish from the fridge directly into a hot oven or chill your mugs in the freezer before filling them with boiling water.
What is your return policy?
I want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read the full description, take note of the measurements, and ask me as many questions as you’d like. Refunds will be provided if there is an issue in the craftsmanship but I can not offer refunds for other reasons. All sales are final.
Do you have a physical store?
Not any more. After over ten years on NE Alberta St it was time to close the boutique’s doors and embark on something new. Thank you for your support and community. It truly meant so much to be there, to know you, and to have worked with so many talented makers. A large part of what I enjoyed most about having the shop has been getting to know all of you, introducing new artists to Portland and seeing you enthusiastically embrace their work. I hope that you'll continue to shop and support local artists! Whatever the future brings I look forward to continuing to work with other small businesses and be part of the community that we love so much. As for now, I’m enjoying spending more time focusing on making art and expanding my work in different mediums.
